Military Officers’ Association of America - Western New York   The Military Officers Association of Western New York (MOA of WNY), is a chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA). MOAA and all its affiliated chapters are non-partisan. The Western New York MOAA serves the eight counties of Western New York State. This chapter has been in existence since 1972, and they are proud of their heritage and continue to provide their members and their families outstanding support as well as supporting the goals of their National Headquarters. On their Web site you will find links to local chapter activities and to other New York state chapters, the state Council of Chapters, and the National Headquarters Web sites. In addition, there are links to other military and veterans sites as well. MOA of WNY conducts four Board of Directors meetings throughout the calendar year to plan and execute the business of their organization. Most of the meetings are conducted at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park. The member activities include winter and summer speakers series, an annual summer garden party alternating each year with us at the Royal Niagara Military Institute. MOAA members also participate in numerous military and civic events throughout the year including the Annual Armed Forces Week activities (second largest such event in the US), Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Veterans Day events, and presentations of medals to Junior and Senior ROTC units at local high schools and colleges in their area. Additionally, they participate in their mid-year and annual Council of Chapters meetings hosted by various chapters throughout the NY state. If you are or have ever been an officer in any of the services of the US military, you are eligible to join MOAA.
