The RNMI is an organization of men and women interested in military affairs past and present. We as an organization are proud of the Canadian military and are supportive of the soldiers, sailors, and air force  personnel who serve us so bravely. Within our membership are people from all walks of life, military and non-military. The RNMI  membership includes commissioned, serving or retired military officers, retired military members and civilians with a keen interest in our armed forces. Present within our ranks are; WW II and Korean War veterans, UN peacekeeping mission veterans, retired Air Force, Navy and Army personnel, male and female, from Canada, the United States and the Commonwealth.        The RNMI provides a forum for maintaining an interest in current affairs with an emphasis on the military.  Military history is not forgotten – the Niagara Region has a rich military history dating from the settlement of the area by Butler’s Rangers through to infantry and flying training during WW II.        The RNMI provides support for Niagara-based military units, including reserve forces and cadet units within the Region.  The RNMI also provides a physical and symbolic presence at military and historic events held locally.      The RNMI normally meets 7.30 pm every third Wednesday of the month (except June, July, August & December) at the Officers’ Mess, St. Catharines Armoury, Lake Street and Welland Avenue.
